Bed separates 2 - 3 inches all the time

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a sleep number bed a silver edition at a cost of around $6000.00 2 years ago, they now say i am in my 3rd year and put down my coverage to 72% of any purchases. the split we purchased is falling apart every time we raise or lower the bed it separates in the middle not good for any relationship. they want over $300.00 dollars to fix a problem they know exist, because they now have changed the bolts that hold down the cell that houses the inflatable tube. i would not recommend the sleep number bed to anyone who is thinking of buying one. poor quality and poor service on items they know have a problem. if this was a car the government would make them do a recall for faulty parts.

Omissions in store on refund policy

Salesperson says "try it for 100 days" return if not good. 87 year old women very uncomfortable on the bed. Sleepnumber fine print says no refund on the $1700 frame. So we are stuck with a frame we will never use. Salesperson cleared OMITTED that little fact. I intend to put out numerous press release to Pharmacists and home healthcare nurses around the country to warn customers to not try the bed because they will be stuck with the frame. I plan on putting the frame on back of my truck with BIG signs in front of their stores every Saturday and Sunday This company has the worst customer service and lies to the public. Please BEWARE

Sleep Number - Bed Review from Seattle, Washington

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Ordered bed but unable to be installed due to dimensions not being able to being able to navigate the staircase (even though did verify it would fit with customer care ahead of time). Delivery agent was great and tried to problem solve. Delivery agent called to see what price would be for a different bed. There was a huge price differential in what was quoted over phone for a new bed from the store versus the customer service agent. Nobody would taken ownership to explain discrepancy. Order canceled. Left message for store manager where bought bed. No call back. Tried to work with a different store on an order but informed unable to because policy of Sleep Number that the sale belongs to original store so I need to work with that original store. Expressed concern that nobody at Sleep Number seems to want to take ownership to solve the problem to help assist me to purchase a bed and provide good customer service. I wanted to purchase a bed. There isn't the need to sell the bed to me I was already sold on the product. Still haven't received a call from the original store manager to try and resolve the issue and get the bed reordered.

What do mean it wouldn't fit? It comes in several small boxes, it's not like a regular mattress and box spring which may not fit.

Sleep number adjustable base

I purchased a sleep number bed and adjustable base for $5,000.00. I wanted to return the bed after 6 weeks. The mattress is falling off side of bed. I called and was told I should reinflate the bed every time I want to get up. Like in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Or sleep on alternating side of the bed. I knew they would not refund $2,400 for adjustable base, but after paying $5,000.00 for the bed, they will not haul away the base. I am stuck. This is the biggest mistake I ever made.

Read the fine print of the contract when buying a Sleep Number Bed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The sales person never tell you that there will be a $200 fee if you are unhappy and return or exchange the bed. We started with the P5- hated it after one night sleep- called customer service and then they brought out the I8 after 10 days.

We were never told that there is a $200 exchange fee. After two weeks my husband and I decided that we were the same sleep number and we did not like the middle of the bed (there is a hump between the two air chambers) so we called and returned the I8 as well. We also returned all the bedding and pillows! Sleep number stuff is overpriced and not good quality!

So now we tried out 2 mattresses - hated them and stuck with a bill of $600 for their 100 day trial period! Ridiculous and not at all "Free" to try! I think this company is deceitful in their advertising and their product is terrible!

We felt like we were camping out on air mattresses in our bedroom! DONT BOTHER WITH THESE OVERPRICED MATTRESSES!

Sleep Number return policies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I would just like to caution potential buyers to carefully review the return/non-return policies BEFORE buying this bed. Much to our regret, my sister and I accompanied our elderly, disabled father to buy a bed. We did not review the return policies until it was too late. Our dad decided after a few minutes on the bed that he could not move about easily in the bed. They will take back the mattress, but not the adjustable frame or the sheets and mattress pads (still in the packaging). I really wish I had read and heeded all the negative reviews about this company before we talked our dad into buying the bed. $2000 loss.

Sleep number sucks

I wish someone would file suit against thi company so I could join. I hate this matress and the fact the base can't b returned is pure horse ..... What a miserable rip off.

My husband and I bought an adjustable king size bed with supposedly a 100 day return policy if not satisfied. Well, our back hurt from the very beginning, tried their new "foams" but nothing made it better, now trying to return their no good product but apparently will only take the "air" mattress sack but not the adjustable frame charge of $3,990.00.

We apparently signed an agreement for non-refundable bed frame!!? Sleep Number is making their money by ripping people off on the sale of their outrageously expensive bed frame....Something should be done.

Defective Bed!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Like the reviews say, DON'T buy this bed. Purchased a split King 7 months ago. The price was outrageous. The bed was defective, from the start. The mattresses are falling off the bed on both sides creating Niagra Falls in the middle! Called customer service, the store where we purchased the bed, and spoke to numerous managers. They will not do a thing. Sleep Number touts it's customer service, but they do not know what that is. We are left with a bed that is not functional, and no one at Sleep number will fix the problem. All of these reviews will help in court!

Worst bed I have ever purchased!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased my sleep number bed approximately two years ago. I bought the P5 but after just a short time realize that I needed more cushioning and it didn't happen so we upgraded to the innovation. My mattress is a queen and we bought theand we got the feature where you can elevate your bed, the head and the foot. The new bed was delivered and assembled. Unfortunately this has been the worst decision I have ever made regarding a bed. I was told the bed was made in a way not to get too hot. The P5 was good but the Innovation is very hot to sleep on and does not feel any more cushioned than the P5. Along with that the bed now squeaks when we move in bed and we can not figure out a way to stop it. It is annoying. The day after we purchased our bed they came out with new mattresses and it seems as though they come out with new ones every few months and tote how wonderful they are. I just wish they made ONE good bed. Could not be more disappointed. Oh and the remote for the bed to go up and down broke in less than a year.

Husband bought a sleep number bed as his brother loves his. However, when it arrived, we had to assemble it....and it worked fine for about 2 minutes....we have never been able to find our # for sleep.

We both sweat gallons NOW and I feel like I are treading water all night....can't get off the thing without a struggle...SO...we go back to take with the sales gal where we bought the bed...she suggests $250 "cool" sheets...tried it...totally bogus...go back and she says you probably need an "insert"...(only $1699)....at that point I said OH NO...no more money as we are already out WAY too much!

I believe the this is one of the worst SCAMS!!! I'm calling the BBB.....

Deep impression in mattress top

I have had quite a bad experience with my sleep number bed and discourage any who are on the fence about purchasing a bed. I purchased a P5 at the cost of $2500.

The bed was comfortable for about 2 years and then the bed started to show a dip right where I lay on my side. The bed got progressively worse until about about a couple of months I couldn't get any sleep on the bed because of discomfort. With traditional beds, you are able to flip the mattress and move it to different positions. Unfortunately with Sleep Number, you aren't able to move the bed at all.

The dip continued to get worse as my hip pain continued to worsen. I contacted Sleep Number about the problem and it was determined that the padding on the Mattress cover was compacted. Because of the quilting design of the bed, there is no way to 'fluff' the padding. They offered a new top for $650!!!.

I refused to spend that much money to have a defective product again in 2-3 years. This was one of the worst investments I have ever made and caution all who are considering this company to steer clear of this problem, Michael S

Had similar experience. Have queen p5 w/ adjustable base.

Total price $3355. Purchased October 2012. Started noticing loss of air by morning. My # is 55 to 60 and it would be down to 15 to 20.

Called customer service. They have NO service. Will send you the parts some you have to purchase unless covered by limited warranty. They instruct you to try numerous possible fixes which if you are 77 yrs old and have numerous health issues is impossible or if someone can come out it will be $179.99.

This to come out of my small SS check.

My son bought this bed for me as a gift and I don't have the heart to tell him. Should have stayed with Serta!!!

I have the same issue. Worst product I have ever purchased.

I have the same problems with my sleep number. The sleep number is the worst purchase I've ever made.

My back is very sore when I get up in the morning. Sometimes I prefer to just sleep on the floor.

BAD!!!!!!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My husband and i went to the sleep number store get look in to getting a new bed.(WE BOTH HAVE VERY BAD BACK PROBLEMS) Well we were help right away and found the bed we wanted it was one of the cheaper beds but the sales person was very pushy and talk us in to one of the more $$$$ it had a pillow top so it felt like the bed we had at home but we could adjusted the numbers, the bed was $4,500.00 for bed. with that amount of money i asked a lot of question like if i don't like it then what.

the sales person well you get 100 nights to send it back and it will only be 90.00 to send back so you really don't have to worry. well the bed got dropped off i was not happy, when we order the bed they said it can take up to 2 weeks because the hand make every order once it is placed. Well i can tell you that is a lie, it comes in boxes and you unroll it like a blow up bed and sleeping bag. They put it together and left, i laid down and it did not feel anything like the one in the store.

i talked with my husband and we gave it a two week chance it was so bad i bought a foam cover to help it (300.00). Well 20 days in to it and i could not do it anymore i was sleeping on the coach. I called to return the bed and the guy i talked to told me i had to keep the bed for at lest 30 days i said no one said i had to keep it for 30 day ever. so i asked for a manger and had to say i was going to report them to the BBB to get the bed returned.

she said that she would push the return through and then told me we have to pay to send it back i said i know that but then she said it was going to be 200.00 dollars i said WHAT!!!!!!! i then told her what the sales person and manger said at the store it would only be 90.00 to send it back. She said i don't think they would say that I am now mad mad. so i three way called the store and guess what they said it is only 90.00 to send back.

so the lady was not happy and had to give me that price. but they still scammed me out of hidden fees i paid 4500.00 and will only get 3845.00 back.

I still have not got my money back i called 2 weeks ago and the end was pick up a week ago. STAY AWAY FOR THIS COMPANY THEY BED DO FEEL LIKE BLOW UP BEDS NOTHING LIKE THE ONES IN THE STORE AND YOU WILL LOOSE A GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY IF YOU SEND IT BACK.

Air Pump Leaks after every procedure to fix it failed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

When we first got our Sleep Number bed, we felt it was the best night's sleep we had ever had. At that time we were using it in a water bed frame, but after a couple of years, we purchased a regular style bed and purchased a Sleep Number mattress to go under the upper level and that is when our troubles began.

We have done everything they have told us including the purchase of a new matress for one side to the tune of $100 and it has all been to no avail. One side is fine but the other side leaks air. I have to reset my side every night to 65 and by morning it is at 40 and I am a women weighing n omore than 120 pounds.

Speaking to the Customer Service people do no good whatsoever, as all they advise is to print out the instructions, which we have done and followed to the best of our ability. I would never recommend this bed to anyone but my worst enemy.

Very poor customer service regarding delivery

We ordered a C3 bed for our guest room on January 6. We told the saiesperson that we were leaving on vacation on January 20th. Oh, no problem she said. It will be delivered well before that. I know that sales people will say about anything to make a sale but *** me, I believed her. On January 15th with no word on delivery, I called Sleep Number's customer service line. No problem she said, I'll just delay the shipment until you return on January 28th. On January 19th, we get an email saying it had been shipped. I tried their chat line but after 45 minutes, the person said there was no record of a hold being placed on the shipment and he couldn't help me any further. After we got to our vacation destination, I tried for 3 hours to get through with no luck. I emailed them saying it was their problem if there was damage due to the bed being delivered without us there and got a form response. The bed was actually delivered today(January 21st) in 2 1/2 " of snow. They are completely incompetent when trying to deal with something out of the ordinary.

We have had a sleep number for two years now and absolutely have hated it! We have tried Everything. 2 different type of high quality toppers plus been through at least 7 pillows. Where is the 97% of customers who are satisfied with this bed? It has been absolutely horrible. We cannot wait to get out of bed every morning to our 5 kids after an awful night's sleep and sore from head to toe.

Must pay for fix to a known publicized defect

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a Dual Comfort Control King Size Bed. The Beds come with a 20 year PRORATED warrantee. BUYER BEWARE.... After the first year, the beds continually separate in the middle---Sorry no Customer Support for this (Not good if you want to be close to your significant other) After Second year the mattress forms the same body sags as a regular mattress--Support claims this is because the mattress is learning your body. Apparently a regular mattress must learn my body too at a third of the price of the $4000.00 Sleep Comfort mattress. Third Year we noticed there are bolts holding the mattress to the base which strip and come out making the bed separate even more.--Support says there is not fix for this other than to buy a new bed at a PRORATED COST. Gave up with the issues for the next few years until this year where the LED failed in the remote. Customer Support tells us this was a regular problem which the fixed in an upgrade. Yes, a design flaw--how about that an admitted design flaw. However, the fix will COST you a prorated fee to upgrade to the new Dual Remotes to maintain your comfort settings. So, understand the 20 year warrantee is worthless without the remote because you can no longer see what your comfort level is. SOLUTION: $149.00 replacement pump and an additional $59.99 second remote so that you and your spouse can each have a remote for that middle of the night adjustment. After about an hour on the phone and three support representatives and a supervisor later. THe offered the FIX to their DESIGN FLAW to me for $74.00 including the second remote. My issue is having to pay for their design flaw repair which makes you choose to either do it or buy a new bed. AND, it is only warranted for one year which then drops to whatever your PRORATED Bed rate is. Make sure you do the math because a memory foam bed will last just as long for less cost. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SELECT COMFORT AT THIS TIME.
